The Greek-Orthodox church of San Giorgio is known in Venice as San Giorgio dei Greci, since it is located in the area of Venice once housing the Greek community.

The building dates back on 1536 and ended in 1577. It boasts famous architects such as Sante Lombardo. All the expenses for the building were covered by the incomes of the Confraternity.
The façade is divided into three section, its interior has just one nave with a dome at its center and the presbytery is separated from the wall of marble icons (iconostasi). The decorations were realized by Michele Damaskinos, who painted the majority of the iconostasi. In the parvise there is the bell tower and a decorated well curb. The bell tower was built between 1587 and 1603 and it leans to one side.
